<p>Arcas Advertising is proud to be the Platinum sponsor of IABC’s upcoming <em>Dare </em><em>to Lead </em><em>Conference</em> this spring, hosted by our city’s IABC Regina chapter.</p>
<p><em>Dare to Lead</em> 2012 is an annual weekend leadership conference held in May for members and leaders of IABC Canadian Western Region (CWR) chapters. With approximately 75 IABC members typically attending, the event also includes representation and participation by Canadian Western Region board members. The conference will be held in Regina from May 25 to 27, 2012.</p>
<p>The weekend programming provides tremendous learning opportunities for members, as well as opportunity to acquire professional skills in areas of interest relating to communications, via keynote speakers and sessions.</p>
<p>Arcas Advertising designed the conference logo for this event, as well crafting the tagline, <em>‘ignite your inner leader’</em>.</p>
<p>Arcas Chief creative Officer and Managing Partner, Mike Woroniak, will also be on the conference agenda as a guest speaker.</p>

<p>Arcas Advertising created a set of three outdoor boards to help promote the good word about the exciting menu this company is now serving up. And if the descriptions don&#8217;t serve proper justice, the photography of some of their offerings certainly do. As you can imagine, the food prepared for the photoshoot was granted &#8216;hands off&#8217; status – no easy task to accomplish – until all the imagery was safe and in the can. Fun and light-hearted copy was introduced on the ads to help position the restaurant as the place where serious &#8216;foodies&#8217; go to enjoy tasty delights (when those tasty delights come calling).</p>

Several of Emerald Canyon&#8217;s water hazards are also used as habitat for two endangered local fish species, which recently led to the course being named as Conservationist of the Year by the American Fisheries Society – a partner of the U.S. Fish &amp; Wildlife.</p>

<p>Arcas recently teamed up with GMS to rollout their new <strong>GMS Travelstar<sup>®</sup> Travel Insurance advertising campaign</strong>—a re-energized initiative to target snowbird travelers for the current winter vacation and warm, southern climate destination season.</p>
<p>The campaign utilized the tri-panel letter structure of the new GMS logo as the basis for an engaging visual and messaging for the GMS TravelStar product, including animation for electronic mediums. Various advertising mediums were utilized, including: television, print, outdoor, Facebook and online ads and direct mail.</p>
<p>GMS staff were included internally for the launch with a contest to win airline travel vouchers. The entire staff was  greeted one morning with a GMS-branded paper airplane on their desks with overview information about the new campaign and directions to a GMS web page to view the campaign elements.</p>

<p>Increasing website traffic for any brand can often be a tall order. Even though online usage by consumers is through the roof, to objectively drive traffic, sales, responses and/or consumer reaction, a brand still requires a salient message and a strong benefit to communicate to its audiences effectively.</p>
<p>Arcas Advertising recently assisted one of their agency‐of‐record clients, Information Services Corporation (ISC), in helping them shift a portion of their advertising tactics to online media – seeking to create increased website traffic and, ultimately, to generate increased awareness for the scope of services ISC provides to Saskatchewan residents and businesses.</p>
<p>Focussing on ISC’s birth registry portfolio, the campaign consisted of Flash-animated online ads as well as a Google Adwords strategy. The campaign upon completion generated results way beyond the expected and average norms delivered in these mediums.</p>
<p>ISC website traffic increased significantly, from 71 visits per week prior to the campaign to an outstanding <strong>3322 visits</strong> during the last week of the campaign – thusly generating a <strong>4500%+ increase in website traffic</strong> for those two weeks compared!</p>
<p>The online banner ads statistically <strong>out-performed industry averages by 150-210%</strong> while the campaign’s Google AdWords component more than doubled industry averages by garnering a click through rate (CTR) of 5.62% versus the norm of 2%.</p>
<p>The corporation also received very favourable comments and feedback for the ad series, which focussed on communicating the most popular baby names registered in Saskatchewan during the previous year.</p>
